Thanks to Jess and Will for asking us to be part of this really powerful film.
Chris is such an inspiration, (he can still do a front lever off a hangboard and boulder harder than most of us ever will) and the film manages to be both be sad and uplift at the same time. Some really beautiful shot of Norway and the gentle pace and feel of the film meant we spent of lot of time building the background ambiences of each shot, making sure the Chris felt part of the environment and community in which he’s leaving such an amazing climbing legacy.
The film has been well received and received glowing praise from the Kendal film festival team: ‘Highly recommended by our resident climbing enthusiast, Ben Cannon. “Wow. What a film. I was captivated through out. It is beautifully filmed and truly captures the essence of a character that is universally inspiring. Amazing.”’
